The weekly photo challenge is a simple one this week: post a photo (or photos) of your “Happy Place.” Well, that seemed like a no-brainer, as often as I have posted about the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge (do a search if you’re interested in seeing my other posts about this spectacular place!). I was out there (again) last weekend with the husband and his parents, who were in town visiting. It was another bee-u-tee-ful day out on the delta. For me, some of my happiest places are outside. Walks, hikes, strolls, wanders…they all offer great opportunities to clear my head and take in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest (or wherever we happen to be).
Weekly Photo Challenge: Happy Place

Welcome to Tales from the Upper Left! I’m an Oregonian by birth, and a Washingtonian (upper left...get it?) by choice. I share my life with a husband named Jonathan and a cat named Colby Jack (he’s orange...like cheese). I dabble in photography (passionate hobbyist), hike when the opportunity arises, drink wine whenever the mood strikes me and travel not often enough. Predictable Washington blog? Nah. I promise! Yes, the ducks do so enjoy the sludgey green ponds. Good eats!
